The listed 19th century building is located between medians on an irregular shape 284 m2 plot, in the historic center of Madrid, in the popular neighborhood of Malasaña. The building responds to a traditional typology named “corrala”: dwellings are located around the core of stairs and a courtyard that provides access, ventilation and lighting of the homes not facing the facade. The ground floor includes portal and commercial space, with a basement occupying the entire plot surface. |
